I hope I can hit the trail in less than a month. I am looking to see if there is anyone else in my position to start with; either sooner northbound from the border of conn. and mass., or i’d rather southbound and follow Autumn later, cooler weather to hike in from Mt.Katahdin. Mount katahdin, Maine. I have experience from back in 2000 when I thru-hiked and I have been conditioning some where I live in milford, Pennsylvania; about ten miles from the trail or so at the new jersey rt 206 culver’s lake crossing. I can see the High Point Monument if I drive three miles down the road. I have dreamed of this time coming.
