just a heads up. the NOC will be hosting 3 AT thru hiking clinics between now and the first of March in Wesser. Alpine (2000, 2008SB) and Apple Juice (2010SB) will be conducting the free clinics and covering everything from gear to logistics. the first one is this Saturday from 2-5pm if you are in the area. the others are January 14th at 1:45pm (SoRuck weekend) and Feburary 11th again at 2pm. call the Outfitter’s store (828.488.7230) for more details and/or to tell em you are coming! these guys are great, have lots of experience and will be in the store anyway if you attempt a 2012 NOBO hike. plus what a great place to do a shake down hike after a clinic…!
