I have a sierra design Clipflashlight that I have used for a couple of trips, it is a couple of years old, but it still works. Its wieghs 4.6 with stakes and poles. Everything is included, its not pretty but for someone who needs a tent, and wants one, this one I am giving away, as I just got the Hubba and a Fling–cant decide which one I will be usinjg for the PCT, so…

Excellent! I have a lot of older gear that I don’t use anymore. I’ll be looking through it to see what I’ll part with. Hopefully it will go to the poor, financially strapped hopefuls out there.

Others have done so in the past here at TJ. I was the recipient of a free thermarest from somebody whose name I unfortunately have forgotten, but basically they could no longer hike due to health reasons. It was an older style 1.5" full length, but hey, it was free and sans holes. I have since switched over to a newer/lighter version, but passed on the thermarest to another hiker for free.
Still a good thing though, free gear, assuming the person receiving it actually needs it and isn’t simply a gear collector or planning to sell it themselves, is pretty cool.
