Fuller Ridge snow?

Hi everyone! I am planning for a section hike from Campo to Big Bear, starting around April 7. I’m just wondering if anyone knows about snow conditions on Fuller Ridge - should I bring an ice ax?

I took a look at the Postholer website but to be honest I’m not sure how to interpret the information. Any help is much appreciated!

It’s too early to know what the snow will be like a month from now. There could be new snow or a cool spring so existing snow doesn’t melt, or a heat wave so it does melt. Normally there is snow there in April, so be prepared.

I was up there just last week end. I took the Deer Springs Trail up to the PCT and continued north on the PCT. The snow on the Deer Springs was very patch, however as I continued north on the PCT accumulation of snow increased. By the time I worked my way around to the north side of the mountain I started post holing up to my knees. I didn’t quite make Fuller Ridge as I wasn’t to crazy about post holing for extended period of time. Hope that helps.
