The best food and lodging is in this area, a bus system gets you around town, hitching or the Equada Shuttle will be running around throughout the PCT season. This is in the C-section about 260-270 miles on the trail, the next re-supply after idywild and before wrightwoods general store. There are two post offices in the BIG BEAR VALLEY; Big Bear City(92314) or Big Bear Lake(92315) both will general delivery, packages can also be sent to EQUADA OUTFITTERS. This method eliminates those closed P.O. hours if you need to get off and back on the trail asap.
