Getting Off the Trail II

I read the many responses to my suggestion of when you get off the trail, place your journal in the “Got Off the Trail” section provided my Leif and Zipdrive. It was nice to read the different responses and to learn that there is more than one way to look at the journals. Thanks, for opening up a pair of old eyes that had only seen things they way he wanted to see them. That is the beauty of this site. I learned that you WYOJ, Write Your Own Journal.

Bilko, it is quite refreshing to see someone take responses contrary to his own perspective and not misunderstand them as personal attacks.

What Leki-Less said. (Speaking of journalus interruptus…a-HEM! ;-))

I feel lucky to be able to go out and hike, and especially lucky and grateful to be heading out on an AT thru hike in a few weeks. For me, the journals are just more icing on an already fantastic cake. It really is all good.

Seems like Bilko’s got a point, as this site is designed to be able to organize the journals into the different categories, on trail, off trail, etc. Nice features, but it’s really up to the journalists to use them or not. Readers are lucky hikers are willing to share their experiences here. We read at our own risk.
But it’s all just icing.

Three weeks to go! :boy (I’m struggling to get my base pack weight down to 20 pounds from 23 pounds…feel the love, feel the weight…)
