Well,the Glencliff P.O. has been slated to close in May.I don't know what day,the article did'nt say.The write-up can be read in "The Bridge Weekly",a local paper here.I know this sucks,it being the PO before entering the Whites.Thought I'd let everyone know...

Thanks for the info. I called them about a week ago and the woman who answered didn't yet know for sure about the status of the pending closing, but she informed me that if they did close, our mail drop there would automatically be forwarded over to the Warren PO, about 5 miles away. Apparently you can catch a shuttle from the Hikers Welcome Hostel in Glencliff over to Warren, so maybe this won't be such a big deal after all.

It is a big deal, the post office was just across the street from Hikers Welcome Hostel. It was convenient for people on the trail. It was a great place to pick up your cold weather clothing and gear before hiking the Presidentials, Whites and Mahoosacs Mountains.

Not big deal at all. Send your stuff to the hostel or use the PO in Hanover. Problem solved.
