I’m following journals and wondered what has happened to the following hikers. Does anyone know their status? "Chestnut, Caboose, Articman, Doogie, Frenchy, Polish Ninja, Good Gulf, and Mike Cleveland. Thanks. Looking forward to meeting many of you in PA.

I hiked ‘with’ Frenchy the first week or so. He went into town at Unicoi. As far as I know he never returned to the trail.
On another note, my ankle is feeling better every day. I’m thinking of returning to the trail at the end of this month. A thru hike is probably not possible for me now, except for a flip-flop. It might be possible to skip a section and get back on ‘schedule’, then finish the Smokies-VA in the fall, or next spring.

I know how you feel waiting patiently for the healing process. I’ve been off work since Dec 10…lower back surgery finally on March 6, and now must wait to recover as well. I am thankful however that there is a process and that time will do its work! The trail…just the smell of the outdoors… is enough to create an adrenaline flow! Hang in there Scamp, what you allow patiently now will build strength for the future. Tim (2Q)
