GT'S KOMBUCHA - Appalachian Trail

hey all~

does anyone else drink this wonderous elixir?!

i find it a much needed antidote to my day to day grind as well as a remarkable post hiking/ climbing/ yoga/ power lounging/ underwaterbasketweaving aid.

my concern is precisely this: my body has become addicted! to the point where i need one/day or else i’m unplugged and near useless.

i’ve spoken with other GTers and clearly they echo these remarks.

my next long hike obviously i won’t be able to tote GT’S with.

i recognize there exists kombucha in tea bag form but clearly the benes are not near as potent.

any GT fans out there, holler back, got remedies to share perhaps?

i fear that a hike sans GT’s could prove a near disaster!

peace!

I brew my own kombucha, and not a day goes by that I don’t thank my lucky stars I found this drink. I will never touch a soda again - ever.
So, your problem as to hiking without it. I have carryed it in an old plastic bottle (that once had a carbonated beverage in it) on day hikes. There is no reason why you couldn’t keep it for two or three days in a bottle. Many health food stores now carry it. Not sure how many health food stores are in trail towns, but you may be able to find some. Good Luck!
