I say I am Fluffy!!!
But Jansport, Gregory and Mariposa and some Mountain Smith all have worked for me! Jansport although no ultra light packs there; usually all come with straps up to 58"…

sew on an extension to the webbing on one side this can be removed if the waist shrinks. As long as the padding reaches the hip bone the belt should work

Thanks for all of the advice…I found that Granite Gear, Mountain Hardwear and Gregory all have packs that will work for me. My favorite being the Granite Gear. What is everyones opinion of their packs?
Thanks to everyone for the great help

The customer service at Granite Gear is excellent. If you do have a problem they will stand behind their product.

Dude, you didn’t even spell your own name right. How someone with such poor care for language can annoint themselves teacher of us all is beyond ridiculous.
Besides, here in Sicily, the plural of “fatso” is “fatsi.”

I’ve gone back and forth with weight, I did a lengthy section hike and found that hanging my gut over the belt worked best. Sure it caused a little chaffing but then I wore tight under-armour and that took care of that little problem. Hanging the gut over the belt not only worked best but it really accentuated my weight problem and my roll took on epic proporions until I lost a bunch of weight the more I hiked. My $0.02 worth…I’ve got to run there is a burrito or two that have my name on them.
