I spent the night at Hermit in March 2004. Loved hearing the roar of the rapid and the light of the canyon walls!!

I too have spent a night there listening to the sound of the Hermit rapids, my trip was in march of 95.
i leave in 2 days to hike to phantom ranch, want to come along?

One of the best trips i’ve every been on is through the Grand Canyon.In 1997 i whitewater rafted the whole canyon,it took 17 days,about 288 miles,plus they brought along a dorey.

Talk about a grand adventure… I am currently reading a book entitled, We Swam the Grand Canyon - A Cheap Vacation that got a Little out of Hand.
These guys are crazy and the book is a good read!
