High Sierras in Mid-September

I am planning a weekend in the Sierras this weekend, crossing up and over Bishop pass and onto the JMT in Leconte Canyon. What can I expect in regards to the weather?

On top of the above question, is the southern High Sierra always snowbound by mid-November. Might have a few days, and i’m curious if that’s way too late to have any hope of hiking high.

This weekend should be fine, nice days in the 60s rather chilly at night maybe upper 30s low 40s. No current rain in the forcast.
Mid Nov on the otherhand will be COLD probably snow on the ground above 8k and storms are possible at anytime during Nov.
Id stay below 6k unless you are well prepaired for bad weather and even then it could get ugly.
I live a little over 4k and sometime we get heavy snow in Nov
