Hey kids. Who has the low down on the Grayson Highlands weather at this time? Any large snow amounts etc. The fam heads out this Friday for the weekend. Thanks.

I was just there this past Sunday, 4/10. There isn’t any snow on the trails. There are some rather large patches scattered about.
Ilove the Grayson Highlands. Great views, ponies, deer. Thomas Knob Shelter is a nice place to stay. It has a privy with solar panels on the roof! Water is about 100 yards behind the shelter and there are great campsites around the shelter, especially after you pass the shelter going north.
I met 6 thru hikers there and I’m sure you will see more this weekend.
