Hike4Kids II - Appalachian Trail

I must have a very understanding wife! She is actually going to let me hike the A.T. again going SOBO! I think it is because I lost more than 50 lbs. the last time I did it in '02 and we have a high school class reunion coming up!

Anyways, the last time I hiked the A.T., I did it as a charity event for abused and abandoned kids. This time, I am writing a book for fatherless kids called “Above the Clouds”

It’s good to be back on the trail! Hey Sherlock and Circuit Ryder! I will see you soon… just goes to show that even NOBO’s and SOBO’s like me can be friends!

about Fatherless children sounds interesting… Why the name “Above the Clouds”?; is that a ref. to hiking (above the cloud line) or something else? Good luck!!

Hi Spanky: You replied to a post I made a while back about doing a long-distance charity hike;I very much appreciate that. I haven’t been able to go any further with that due to family obligations, etc. However, that’s awesome that you’re thruhiking again. Best wishes to you, and good luck with your book; that sounds very interesting. I’ll be looking for it.
