travis, you seem to be sincere in you efforts to honor your mother and anyone else with ALS. You need to research ALS a little more. Lou Gehrig is the name of the NY Yankee that is associated with the disease. You also need to plan out how you want to honer these people. Example: are you planning to raise money? are you planning on raising awareness to the disease? Are you doing a one day hike? People need more information. I would also have someone read your posts and other communications before sending them out. Two sets of eyes are better than one. Good Luck.
