I’d rather hike than be distracted by the mind-numbing ‘entertainment’ on TV. Marx thought that religion was the opiate of the masses. These days its the Internet & TV.

Sitting on your rear, watching a bunch of men in tights line up and pile on each other is better than hiking through an ancient autumn forest along a rumbling stream, past a gushing waterfall, up above the treeline, with views for miles over dreamy hillsides… all the while you take in cool, crisp, clean mountain air, feeling the pulse of your heart pumping life throughout your body…? There is no contest. That this is even proposed as a question on a site like this one is either sad or laughable… I can’t decide which.
