I am hiking with my Airedale Terrier, starting in early March. She is 57 pounds and currently eats 3-1/2 cups of dry dog food daily. So my questions: 1) How much more food might she need if hiking daily 15+ miles, while carrying her own food? 2) Will I be able to find a good supply of high quality dog food at typical re-supply points, in 6-10 pound bags? 3) Will she need dog boots when we hit the rocks in PA and other areas?
