well, in less than 24 hours my good friend, shoeless jon, and i will be hitting the road, making the long drive from north carolina to maine. on thursday, october 9, i will climb the big mountain, snap my picture at the summit, and begin the long walk south to georgia. i’m nervous, i’m excited, i’m ready to be out there. me, the woods, and the good Lord. what better way to spend my winter?

Not sure when you are planning on finishing, I am starting mid to late February, so maybe we’ll pass each other. If we do pass, well, then, we’ll say hello, you from the near end and me from the near beginning. Best of luck to you, will follow your journals.
