There was a hornet next on the kimberling creek footbridge (bland,va) on Wednesday 7.23.3. I stirred them up walkg across - no way a column of hikers wouldn’t get hit. I waded the creek (about thigh high) to return, then found a scrap and posted a warning on the north end of the bridge - not much help for nobo’s, i’m afraid.
Perhaps a local could do some trail magic there - or pass this info to the maintaining club. You can see the nest from the bank downstream from bridge.
