Hi–I want to start the CT the last week of July. Does anyone know a reasonably priced hotel to stay in Denver–I will take the bus from the airport into town. I have to be able to access a post office and a gear store in Denver to buy an isobutane canister before I take off on the trail. Thanks!!!

Stayed there last year; easy walk from REI, the train station, & the bus station. Also easy to get there via SkyRide AF. $92 with decent breakfast. They will shuttle you back to the bus or train station.

i’m coming next week on july 7th to start a CT thru-hike. somebody just recommended the following - Melbourne Intl Hotel and Hostel. www.denverhostel.com It’s located in downtoewn area and is supposed to be 2 miles or 20 minutes ride from REI.

Denver now has bike kiosks where you can rent bikes for the day or the hour. Perfect for getting from the hostel to REI.
