How do I get back to Denver from resupply towns?

Hello everyone:
I have two questions that I would appreciate your help with:

  1. In case one decides to bail out at any given point along the trail: How do I make it back from resupply towns (like Breckenridge, Salida, Lake City, Silverton, etc.) back to Denver Airport? Is there any kind of transportation linking these towns with Denver?
  2. Once I finish my hike in Durango, how do I make it back to Denver Airport?
Thank you so much for your help.

My personal favorite is hitching. BUT from Summit County you can choose to ride the Summit Express. From Poncha Springs, Salida, Gunnison, Buena Vista and Fairplay (via Kenosha Pass) you can take the black hills stage / Express Arrow. From Durango you can take the greyhound. Or you could catch a flight from the Durango airport on United or American Airlines and MAYBE but I’m not sure-Frontier.

There is now a train from Denver to DIA. To get to Denver from Durango you can get a bus that goes daily to Grand Junction then take the train to Denver the next day. There are some decent places to stay in Grand Junction between the bus station and the train station and several places to eat downtown. email if you want more.
