How To Locate Someone

I met a guy named Nick Thompson on my hike from Springer to Fontana in May/June but have no contact information. Any one know him or how to find someone. Not sure I have spelled his name right. Thanks.

Um, that’s a little hard other than a name to go on. A trail name might be easier. Was he local? Anything about his pack or gear that would tell you anything? You could try one of the "people finder"s on the net but unless you have a state to look in it will give you every Tom, Nick and Harry out there. And his address and info might be based on his full name or his wife’s etc. We tried to find Metro after 911, had his name and his last place of work, Manhattan of all places and he was from Conn. I found one number. This guy was even a lawyer but it wasn’t him and his last place of work wouldn’t tell me where he went. . Did he stop anyhwere like Neels Gap and sign any journals? Springer won’t give out even the sign in journal info. You might be SOL. Good luck. What was the date you and he went thru and who else did you hike with, names, maybe someone else knows him or saw him.

Only you would know that sort of trivia, Dave. Wassup? yeah, Bruce disappeared right after the 11th and we freaked a little. Oh, I now have a neighbor Dave. He sectioned to Harpers. Too weird. We just mentioned you last night.

Any of you northbound/southbounders next year call Dave for a really good time, free shuttles and use of his everything. He’s somewhere in Mass-a-two…

No, our neighbor Dave is Renaissance Man, he’s a carney. Works at the fair in the mud pit throwing mud and butchering Shakespeare for laughs. What else would a hikeer do. Now if he can do Trail Days…
