Has anyone ever stayed at HM State park in Marion, VA? How far is it from the main street? I might stay there this summer when I get to Marion instead of staying at a hotel.

Partnership Shelter is real nice and it’s just one tenth of a mile from Va. 16, near the Mt. Rogers NRA Headquarters.
However, a hitch into town is fairly easy, and the pizza at Pizza Hut is awesome.:cheers

If memory serves me correctly, I think Partnership shelter is the one where I read, that Pizza deliveries are made to.

There used to be a local shuttle bus daily from Marion to Mt. Rogers Headquarters. The Headquarters would have the shuttle company’s phone number. Cost: less than a dollar.

The Partnership Shelter is nice, is a two story shelter and has a cold water shower, but you not allowed to tent very close, it’s close enough to town and I got rides pretty quick at the Headquarters parking lot or right on the highway, good luck
