I am Aswah's Brother!

Well, Brother in Law actually, but I like to think that we are actually brothers. I am Daytripper 2004’s brother.

I will be blunt–I have been reading thru his first journey (Aswah 2000) and I was curious if any of y’all had any suggestions as to who else I should read?

Thanks! Hope all is well,

Mark Verne

The most entertaining & best written journal was Funnybone! on the PCT in 2006. You can’t go wrong with Jan Liteshoe or Stumpknocker any year. For a eye opener checkout Grace from AT2004.

By all means read Baro’s 2006 hike of the AT and Officer Taco’s in 2004. I agree that Funnybone can be funny. Oh yes Lion King on the PCT 2006 and by all means Jane Liteshoe on the AT in 2003

Officer Taco’s in 2004?

Ed, that is not a journal to recommend. Never has a journal caused so much controversy. However, Officer Taco was the major topic of conversation back in '94. A lot of people questioned his mileage and where abouts during much of his hike.

This year, I liked Bone Pac, Helium and Kurly’s journals.

I have a great photo of Aswah in my journal. It was in late April, and he is wearing his Golden Pimp Boots outside the Damascus Post Office. :lol

I have loads of stories on your “brother”… for the right price you could have a lot of material on Aswah!
Tell those two hello from me when you talk to them. Tell them I still plan to get even for that pizza delivery incident!!

I miss Aswah too. A trail force to be reckoned with.
