If it were up to me

if it were up to me, i would probably stay out on the AT all the time. what better place to be? i like the great outdoors and i like to hike and i like the AT, so why not? of course, i’m young and dumb and have about 25 cents to my name. so, unless i learn to fully and truly live off the land, i guess it will have to wait. or, i could just decide that i am willing to accept donations and let people give me money to help fund my life on the AT. that sounds like a great idea. who wants to get a real job anyway, when they could be outside hiking and living and learning and walking on the appalachian trail?

just what’s been on my mind today. that’s all for now.

Ever paid cash for a root canal or a crown? A paper route aint gonna get it. Word has it REI is the place to work. They let you go on trips to somewhere if you haven’t done that type of trip yet and let you use the gear too. Ooh, that bad Ingrish. When you go on a trip and it’s something you’ve never done like caving or whatever they let you use thier gear to test and eval it. Cool. You get to hike and play with gear. There is also summer fire fighter work, half year off etc. Lots of “jobs” in the fun area, the benefits aren’t so good. Like medical and retirement. Sleeping in a park is only good for so long…although today i’d take the bum, my job hurles.
