I have a few things i would like to make or improve upon before my next trip out.

Does anyone know where I can purchase this material?

Thanks, Sue

email Quest outfitters at questoutfitters@home.com. Ask for a catalog and give them your address. They have a great selection of fabrics, based out of Sarasota.

Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics (1-800-693-7467). I don’t have firsthand experience with these folks but they are real popular with ‘make your own’ people. I use 1.1 and 2.0 oz Sil Nylon stuff sacks, tent (Nomad) and pack(G4). It’s really great stuff. I just hope is lasts as long as regular packcloth gear.

Thanks for the info. I talked with Kay at Quest Outfitters. I got some beautiful purple silicone treated nylon. I ordered by phone and had it a day and a half later. It’s pretty and so “lightweight”. Sue T

Sue - I built my own SilShelter from ideas provided by HH.
I felt like I was working with tissue paper!

Let me know and I"ll provide what info I can on the measurements. - Mike

I tried to send you plans for a light weight tarp tent that pitches a special way. You email address wouldn’t accept it. Check and see if it needs changing, or remove any blocks you have.
