I will be section hiking sections 18-21 in late June. Any ideas or suggestions on how to get back to my vehicle? I will need to go from Spring Creek Pass (SCP) to Highway 114. Is there bus service in the area? Or, does someone know of anyone that would pick us up at SCP and drop us off at Hwy 114? At this point I am open to suggestions. Thanks

That is a tough one. You could hitch to Lake City then Gunnison then to the TH on 114. None of the roads have very heavy traffic, so it might take a while. There is a Trail Angel that lives in Gunnison that posts here named Apple. Look back at the old posts under “Hitching to Creede” and send him a private message. Maybe he could give you a ride part of the way if you time it right.

“WE” indicates there are more hikers than just you.
Just take 2 cars. Park one at hwy 114 and both drivers return to SCP in car #2, which you park there. Hike to the other car. Reverse process to go home.
