Went back and hiked the Indian Creek Trail (West Branch) to Lenny’s Rest today. GPS reported 3.84 miles, and it is in great shape. First half is basically downhill, and the second half is more than fair. Also, there are some great camp sites up on the ridge (the last 1.5 miles) if you get a late start. At about two miles you will come to an opening. Make sure and turn to the left here, and continue on the Indian Creek Trail (#800), and don’t go straight on the Steven’s Gulch Trail. When you get to the next trail crossing, it is only 0.3 miles to Lenny’s. Look for the sign that says "Colorado Trail #1776), and follow the arrow. I got to Lenny’s in 1 Hour and 11 minutes (only wearing a hip pack). Lastly, someone has placed a trail sign facing west with a CT placard in front of the EAST Indian Creek Trail head. (The wrong trailhead) Below the CT logo is an upward white arrow directing you to the West. Remember, the correct trailhead is about 1/4 mile west of the East trailhead. I’ll shut up about this issue now. Just don’t want you thrus to have a bad starting experience.
