Internet Access along LT?

Hi all,
I would like to upload my journal entries when I do my town stops. I will be stopping in:

Manchester Center
Rutland
Waitsfield (I know where to get access here)
Jonesville (maybe not overnight; might just pick up food and continue)
Johnson

Does anyone know of places to get online in these towns?

Thanks!

In Manchester Center, there is a big ol bookstore across from the outfitter. In the upstairs, coffee shop part methinks, they have a public use terminal. The sign says 15 minutes but the connection is zippy. Enough to check email, but probably not enough time to update a journal. Stay cool man.

I don’t mind paying…do they allow more time if you pay?

Rutland is a large town and should either have businesses with public internet or a Public Library with access. Last year Wedding Singer started a thread that might help you: http://www.trailforums.com/index2.cfm?action=detail&PostNum=1590&Thread=1&roomID=27&entryID=11988 His link to a Yahoo site now requires a memebership but you could e-mail him your question.

Not sure if they would make exceptions or not. The terminal is in the middle of the coffee shop so as long as it’s not busy I imagine you could hammer down as long as you want. Remember courtesy is contagious. Have a good hike.

Richmond, near Jonesville has a nice little library where I accessed the net. I went into Rutland on my AT hike two years ago and waited in line for a bit to get a terminal and then was limited to .5 hour. Do email Wedding Singer, his research on times and locations of libraries was helpful. I wrote down the towns I would be visiting last fall on my northern section hike.
