My name is Molly Schassberger and I’m a student at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. I’m an anthropology major taking a course this semester called Crafting Ethnography in which I get to write an ethnography on a topic of my choice. I have chosen to write about thru-hiking, so I’ve been interviewing people who have completed thru-hikes, (and those who are planning one) to get a sense of why they chose to thru-hike, what they hoped to gain from it, if they feel they gained this, etc. I would love to interview (via email, phone, Skype, whatever works) anyone interested and willing to talk about their experiences.
