Any opinions on a NOBO hike starting in January and ending around May or June? Would it be that much more difficult in the colder weather?

Mad Max, We started in January 2001 and yes it is more difficult because of the snow,ice,strong winds,short-day and some business not open.
It i so beautiful in the winter and we enjoyed the hike.
