This guy is on the trail but he started in AL weeks ago. I think someone on this board saw him about 30 miles up the trail at the Walasi(sp) outdoor store.

We were on the trail from Stecoah Gap headed to Brown Fork Gap shelter on Jan8th and saw Barkeater.He started Jan 1st and is doing 22 miles a day.He’s carrying snow shoes.He said he is headed to California to start the PCT May1.He is also going to do the CDT.
