I’m planning to hike from happy isles to devils opostle…
how many days can you think I should take for this? 60miles as I unserstand…
what’s the way back to civilization from there?

You can take a bus from red’s meadow where Devil’s Postpile is back up into the town of Mammoth Lakes, good luck on your trip!

Enjoy yourself-take 6 days! 6 days would be a liesury pass for many, too fast for others and way to long for young bucks. It’s all up to how much time you have, what shape your in etc.
When you reach Reds you can get the Devils Postpile shuttle bus back to the visitor center in Mammoth and the town shuttle from there. The Yarts bus to Yosemite leaves Mammoth daily between 8 and 8:30am depending on where you pick it up in mammoth. It arrives in Yosemite around 12pm. When you come out at Red’s ask around, maybe someone you can catch a ride beck to Yosemite from someone hanging around at Reds.
