For several years there was a hiked that went by the trail name of "Just Jim". He was a Vet with some health issuses but spent a lot of time on the AT. He dropped out of sight about two years ago. Does anyone have any information about him, know how he is doing or anything?

I met him in the Whites in '06 and later went to visit him at the VA hospital here in Johnson City. I too wonder how he's doing.

I too would like to know how he's doing. I ran into him at Mountain Crossings a few years back but no contact in a couple of years.

Hey everyone!
I am fine and doing well in Tennessee! I got off the trail last Winter in Hampton, TN to resupply and I bought a house…LOL!! Now I’m heavily involved with trail maintenance with Bob Peoples, Moutain Squid and the other guys at the Eastman Hiking Club. I now have my own section of AT from Abingdon Gap Shelter to the Backbone Rock trail outside of Damascus…so life is good! I hope everyone is well and is happy!
