I just started to get serious about hiking trying to get out as much as I can. Just wanted some people to talk to about places they have been and some awesome stories and youknow get some ideas to kinda boost me up more…

good for you. hiking is a great activity. one good feature of this site is they have trail journals from a ton of different places, so i’m sure you can read about one from your area.

you’d be surprised how many AT thru-hikers attempt without much previous experience. my own thru-hike (first attempt) was the first mile i’d hiked in my life and the first time i’d been camping.

i’ve got a million thru-hiking stories and i tell them all the time. probably every hiker could write a good book on interesting stories alone.

That is why…and my AT thru buddy “Bubble Boy” just informed me we are gearing up for THE PCT THRU 10’…so we live on in the doldrums of everyday, till…
