Kennebec river ferry

I read in ATC Journeys that the company that has been providing the ferry across the river is no longer offering the service. Has anybody providing a ferry service this year

I think the article implied that the contract to provide the service was going out to bid. I was confused by the article as it mentioned that Steve Longly was no longer doing it but only hinted around as to why or what was happening in the future.

Last year when I stayed at Steve Longley’s Hostel, He told me that it was going to be his last year and that he was training replacement staff. In the 08 thru-hikers companion though it says that Steve will be offering his services again. either way, you will have someone there to ferry you (just may not be steve).

Apparently a guy named David Corrigan is running the ferry this year, it runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
May 23 to July 17: 9AM to 11AM only
July 18 to September 30: 9AM to 11AM and also 2PM to 4PM
October 1 to October 13: 9AM to 11AM only
