For the life of me, I can’t remember if I posted this here already or not. Hoping everyone from the S.E. might be able to make it out for this fundraiser and party for the Appalachian Trail.
October 2008 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Appalachian Trail as the first National Scenic Trail, designated by the National Trails System Act of 1968.
In celebration of the Trail and as a fundraiser for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, the ATC is hosting its first-ever Asheville event on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Pack Place, from 6 - 10 p.m.
We’ll have live music from Asheville-based band One Leg Up, fun A.T. activities, food and (adult) beverages included as part of the admission price for our guests, plus the opportunity to bid on awesome silent auction items and vie for hot raffle items.
Tickets are $20 if you RSVP in advance to rsvp@appalachiantrail.org or by calling 828-254-3708. Otherwise, tickets are $25 at the door.
I hope you can join us for the party and kick your boots off!
