I used a Lafuma warn’n light bag (600 down - l lbs 5 oz) from McAfee’s Knob (Southern Virgina - mid May) all the way to Mt. Katahdin - mid August. I was never cold, but a few sub 40 nights in New Hampshire and Maine left me a little chilly. I didn’t have a problem with keeping the bag dry, in fact my Platypus sprung a leak and I was able to dry the bag quite quickly. I like the packability of the Lafuma down bag, and didn’t experience much loss of down feathers. I washed the bag myself after my thru-hike, and was able to get the stink out of it. I still use the bag as it is in good condition after 1500+ plus miles. I would not recommend using the bag on an NOBO AT thru-hike until after Mount Rogers.

you can get warmer ones. Lafuma prides itself on being some of the lightest and reasonably-priced bags on the market, but make sure you test it out before you buy it. They save bag weight by designing very narrow shoulder room.

I used a 40 degree lafuma down bag from Lehigh gap, PA to Glen Cliff, NH. I was happy with the performance. I used a Mountain Smith Vision 15 degree down bag the rest of my hike. Never had any down related issues (and it was a VERY rainy year.

Dear everyone:
I tried posting a new topic several days ago, without success. Then, we have all watched the New Forum Topics be frozen; while the New Journal Entries change daily without a problem.
Sooner or later the proprietors of the site will detect the problem, if they have not already, and correct it.
It is impressive that people began to use this thread, the New Forum Topic at the top of the list, to start communicating in an alternative way.
Sincerely–Conan.
