									The best hostel in Manchester Center,VT is The Green Mountain House.  Jeff the owner is a great host and a fellow hiker.

									Another great place for hikers in Manchester Center, VT is Sutton's Place.   He's located just a couple blocks up from downtown, and has a website.   Great owner, hiker friendly place.

									Green Mountain House IS the best place if you are just making a short stop! Do NOT stay at the closest hotel from the trail-Avalanche. We did that in 2010 and it was terrible. If you want a hotel stay, catch the local bus into Rutland and enjoy inexpensive comfort at the Red Roof Inn. You can resupply easily from that stop.

									we stayed at Sutton Place in 2012, because Green Mtn wasn't open yet.  Not a great experience.  No air-conditioning on a hot night.  No breakfast.  We have heard great things about Green Mtn. HKouse.
