I’m planning on southbound section hike of the AT in Maine starting in late June and getting to Gorham, NH by mid July. I need someplace relatively secure to park my car in Gorham, NH while I am on the trail. Any suggestions?

I remember a large parking lot at Pinkham Notch, Joe Dodge Lodge which isn’t far, 19 trail miles, from Gorham. I am intending to leave my car there when we hike The Whites this summer. Give the AMC a call and see if you can leave your car there.

I parked right in Gorham next to the police station and railroad cars. I stopped into the police station and they said it’s fine to park there. There is internet in the railroad car / library. Park along there.
