Long Trail vs. John Muir Trail

I’ve done the LT (North to South) and hope to get to the JMT within the next few years and got an email from someone who has done the JMT and is planning to do the LT. He asks, and I have been wondering, how you would predict your daily mileage on one trail based on the other. On which trails do the miles go slower? How much slower, if at all, do the miles go on the slower trail?

I am the someone that pedxing is referring to in his message. I want to add, it seems that both trails have sections that are easier to hike, ie, the southern section of the LT and the northern section of the JMT. I averaged over 27 miles per day in the northern section of the JMT and only could manage just under 20 miles per day in the southern section. Can I perdict my daily mileage based on those daily mileages? It seems that only hikers that have done both can answer these questions.
