The latest issue (centerfold!) has a short profile and summit photo of Baltimore Jack.
Also, a shot of Pat Peoples on the porch of Kincorra Hostel in TN.
The issue also prints concept maps of the three great “Grail Trails” of the US.

Ha! I put my glasses on, and you are right, A-Train.

And Pine Cones, if you’ve walked the AT, you know a hiker can have as much solitude or company as he or she wishes.

I don’t think NG Adventure really let the cat out of the bag. There’s stories about the AT all the time. I’d rather send people there than other more remote and less crowded trails. It’s a sacrifice area -and a one maintained well enough to take the use.

yep! got my copy of Nat’l Geographic ADVENTURE…& looked @ the centerfold to see the featured article…WOW, places i’ve actually hiked…pretty cool!

and the photo of “Baltimore Jack” on Mt. Washington (with the Camel cig hanging from his mouth)is “classic” Jack!
