LOST hearing aid on the Canadian portion of the PCT.
I am offering a $100 reward to anyone finding a hearing aid at the large, maintained “PCT Campground” located on the trail between the Canadian Border and Manning Park. The PCT Campground is the only campsite about mid-way from the Monument to Manning Park, and near the top of the mountain.
On August 8, 2008 at 4:30 am, I packed up quickly to out-run a lighting storm moving into the area. While collapsing my tent and folding it up, I forgot about the hearing aid, which I kept beside my sleeping bag on the bathtub floor of the tent, and it must have fallen on the ground.
I am confident that the hearing aid is still lying on the ground, probably 10-15 feet to the right of the camp centerline (southeast) on the first flat open area just past the square seating/fire pit area.
The hearing aid is in two parts, a clear ear piece and a dark gray kidney-shaped aid that goes behind the ear, connected by a clear plastic tube. If found, please email me or call (410)715-3842.
