Wouldn’t upset me:happy But man, when there are half a dozen old white gas stoves roaring away at once, the noise can be deafing!

I used to be a winter caretaker at a small cabin in the White mnts of NH (Gray Knob, 86-87 season) and at times there could be 12-15 of those stoves going at once. Sounded like you were standing behind a F-16!

i say the sound alone adds 10 degrees to whoever can hear the music. and yes it is jet like. cold, a little in n.c. tonight. might light my old baby and have some hot chocolate! best wishes to all! b

I used to love my old Svea stove, especially when I was hiking alone and how quiet it was after I turned it off. It was always a good sound on a cold night!

I fire up my old optimus 8R and Svea just to watch and hear them. They definitely bring back many memories. I actually use them too, when car camping.

I have a Svea 123 as well as a pepsi can alchohol stove. The roar of the 123 alone definitley adds 10 degrees to the temperature.
