We will have refreshments again this year at Lujan Pass from July 4th until the hikers disappear in late August. If Razor Creek is dry, there will be water at our camp at Lujan. We will gladly meet anyone for a free town ride with 48 hrs (or more) notice. We go to Gunnison, which abounds in restaurants, outfitters, and a Walmart. Contact me offline for info. Lujan is at the 301 mile point from Denver, 2 miles north of 114. Apple

I should be coming through that area around the last week/week and a half of August. How late in August are you all staying?

We will stay as long as Sept 1 if anyone is hiking the trail. Please keep us advised of your plans. Apple

I should probably be through around mid to late July. I am a week away from driving out to Denver and 12 days away from starting my hike. Take care and see you in a month or so.

If you need resupply at Lujan, tell us what you need from town and when you will be at the Pass. There is a Walmart and a huge grocery in Gunnison where we go pert-much every night. We will settle up when you get your stuff. Mountain House at the Walmart is reasonable. Apple

For right now I have 3 resupplies ready to be sent. I figuring it should be enough. If not, I will have to make other arangments in town stops. I will have my phone on me, not sure what kind of receiption there will be. Either way If I need a resupply I will contact you somehow. Thanks for the generosity and being Trail Angels.

Where is LuJan? what segment?

Great. You can contact us via phone or email at Lujan. (contact me offline thru this forum). Lujan Pass has a large parking area and a large trailhead sign. It is 2 miles north of Colorado 114 in section 17. It is 301 miles from Denver. Verizon works in the higher parts of the trail north of Lujan and in Lujan Pass itself at a boulder we affectionately call the Shrine of Immaculate Reception. Apple

I’ll probably leave Denver on July 17th or 18th. Depending on how things go and how many 14ers I choose to climb, that would put me at Lujan around August 10th, give or take a couple of days. See you then!

We will be at Lujan for sure if you let us know when you will be there. Otherwise, we will keep a self-serve rest stop stocked. Apple

Apple,

If everything goes perfectly, we would get there on Aug 31. Things seldom do. Have you heard anything about the half cup water sources?

(We wouldn’t need a ride.)

I’m especially worried about the 21 mile leg after your rest stop.

We are at Lujan which is about 5 miles south of Razor Creek Park. We will not be there after August 31. Apple
