I have compiled a list on towns based on responses given on this forom–the list is for places TO SEND MAILDROPS due to poor re-supply etc.

Is this accurate and what would you add/delete?

Fontana Damn, NC
NOC, NC
Bear Mountain, NY
Port Clinton, PA
Harpers Ferry, W.VA
Delaware Water Gap, PA
Andover, MN
Monson, MN
Glencliff, NH
Caratunk, MN

are only about 30 miles apart. I’m not going to send drops to both, so which one would be better to use?

My last resupply will be Dicks Creek Gap (Blueberry Patch):

67.3 miles to NOC
or
94.9 miles to Fonatana Damn

I am thinking that Franklin, NC can serve as a non-drop resupply, no? (40 miles from Dicks Creek)

make sure you send your mail drops to ME (maine) and not MN (minnesota) you’d probably be a bit upset if they got sent somewhere out in the midwest.

Franklin is a nice little town. Spent easter 02 there with wak and giggler at the microtel and the shoneys easter buffet was wonderful. 2 big problems; if u need to get to the post office; its a ways away from the microtel. microtel is within walking distance (1/2 mile or so) of a kmart; ingles; windixie; a great outfitter called three eagles outfitter. if u want to get something sent to franklin perhaps they may allow you to have it sent there. number is in the companion along with the number for a contact for the Nantahala hiking club. They do have a taxi in the town; till 6 PM. If you go to the post office; one of the ladies working there is the mother of Sean Bryson; former Buffalo Bill and current Detriot Lion. She was extremely pleasant and nice to me when I stopped in to pick up my mail in O2. Her son was currently living in Buffalo at the time so we must have talked a good 15 minutes about Buffalo ; the Bills and the AT.
