Does anyone out there happen to have a list of shuttles in Maine. I plan to hike from around Grafton Notch on north and will be needing a shuttle from Medway.Would appreciate any info.

The list of shuttles in Maine like everything else is short and easy to manage. Those who run hiker hostels do shuttles. In fact,many of them rely on the money from hiker shuttles to keep the hostel side of the business going. Expect fees of $1-4 per mile. These can get pricy at times because some of the acess points are far and remote from the trailtowns which themselves are not close together.Gorham NH,Andover ME,Stratton ME, Caretunk ME,Monson ME,Medway & Millinocket all have regular,reliable shuttle services. Buy the ALDHA Companion guidebook for details,it is very good for planning off-trail logistics. There is taxi service available in Medway to Baxter State Park, but note I think it is about $50 dollers for the trip.
