hey y’all,
does anybody have information about crater lake shipping info? is the mazama village camp store holding hiker packages? will they be open this summer? does anybody have their phone number (i’ve tried to call the park, but they sent me to the company that runs the store, and they put me on hold indefinitely)? i contacted the park post office, but according to the books, the P.O. is for miles off.

You can send a package to the Mazama Camp Store, but it needs to be sent UPS. I’m sorry, but I’m not home right now and I don’t have their information on me. The Crater Lake PO is about four miles up the road from here. They don’t like you to send packages to the lodge; I believe they just get forwarded to the store or maybe the PO. When I hiked through Oregon in '02 I sent a box to the PO, but when I hike through again I will send one to the store since everything else townwise is pretty much right there.

Actually, I called Mazama, and they prefer that hikers use USPS, although UPS will work, too.

I would send it to the Store at Mazama Village. They have the showers and coin op laundry. Be sure to take the Hiker PCT route going through Crater Lake it was one of the highlights of my trip. The AYCE buffet at the rim by the the gift shop is great.
