Has anyone heard of a product to coat paper maps that will give you a coating similar to those like the trails illustrated and most AT maps?
Thanks.

Try this:

I prefer a much more low tech method myself; fold map in a section as needed, place in large ziplock (gallon size bags work well). Volia! Water-proof mapcase.
Mags
If you’re printing your own, '99, water proof paper is available. I can find the link if you want. Here’s one type but there are several.

Bushwhack
Another low cost solution is to saturate the map with silicone spray (waterproofing). Let the maps air dry and they are ready to use with little or no extra weight burden
Stump
Kman, I use clear shelving paper purchased from Wal-Mart etc. Practice first on some scrap paper. 1 roll can do alot of maps. Cut 1-2 inches larger then map, don’t pull the paper backing off all at 1 time…just pull enough, about 1 inch to get everything lined up and then slowly pull the paper backing off and smoth things out as you go.
