Invest in a membership and get the waypoints from the
ATA site. Then you can see the route on TOPO, download the waypoints and have the best info to date.
Have regular USGS quads/Forest Service Maps with you so you can bail/find a town/etc. I was happy to always have my GPS. It resolved many questionable intersections.
And there is a Google Earth map/flyover so you can see the (omg) elevation gain and loss you’ll encounter (suffer). Thanks for hooking me up on that, Sirena!
In reality, the trail is getting better and more complete every week. It’s a spectacular adventure.
